Philip, SD 57567

"Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction." President Eisenhower, January 1961

Minuteman Missile National Historic Site is one of the nation's newest national park areas. It was created to illustrate the history and significance of the Cold War, the arms race, and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) development. The NPS is currently involved in the planning process to determine the future of this site. We encourage you to contact us with any questions, comments, or suggestions.

We are now taking reservations for tours. The tours will be conducted twice daily, Monday through Friday, beginning on Memorial Day and ending on Labor Day. Tours are approximately two hours in length and are limited to six people per tour.

To obtain a reservation, call the Minuteman Missile NHS Project Office beginning April 1st at 605-433-5552 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. MDT, Monday - Friday.
